Shifts: 12-hour shifts

Hours: Alternating between day and night shifts

Job Purpose:

The Security Officer/Police Officer is responsible for providing and maintaining a safe environment for Dynamic Aviation employees, customers, and guests through a combination of proactive high visibility patrols, access control system, and camera surveillance.   The position is responsible for enforcing security rules and protecting company and government property and assets.

Hiring for multiple officer positions:

• Armed Security Officer – must be a DCJS Armed Security Officer or have the ability to obtain certification
• Police Officer- must be a current (DCJS) Virginia Law Enforcement Officer

Duties:                               

• Inspect, monitor, control, and patrol airport and company property during business and off-hours
• Detect, deter, and report on any situation or activity that could lead to loss or harm
• Provide for a safe, secure environment by enforcing policies and procedures that enhance the protection of people, property, and assets of the facility
• Maintain a high awareness of the surroundings, reporting and react to any abnormalities found during inspections and physical tours of the interior and exterior of all company facilities
• Respond to emergency situations
• Interface with police, fire and other emergency service personnel
• Collect and complete paperwork (Daily Report, Vehicle Log, etc.)
• Ensure runway and ramp environments are safe for aircraft, visitors, and employees
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Current or ability to obtain a DCJS Armed Security Officer certification OR current (DCJS) Virginia Law Enforcement Officer Certification required
• Ability to obtain a DOD SECRET Clearance
• Ability to physically carry and handle company approved firearms in compliance with current DCJS standards
• Possess basic computer skills, familiar with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook Email
• Possess a valid clean Driver’s License
• Have an understanding of mechanical equipment and ability to repair as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
