Location: Abu Dhabi 

Purpose:  The OCONUS Logistician role exists to support the Global 6000 program by performing shipping and receiving of parts, issuing parts and tooling out to mechanics.

Job Responsibilities:                            

• Read and understand maintenance parts manuals and understand the requirements
• Communicate with the Base Maintenance Manager on any aircraft parts issues
• Order parts and tooling for the site
• Ship and receive parts to/from the main facility in Bridgewater VA.
• Issue parts out of stock to mechanics
• Issue tooling out of stock to mechanics
• Interact with the local population and companies
• Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct periodic cycle counts
• Maintain responsibility for proper execution of parts tag instructions in accordance with the Repair Station Quality Control Manual
• Maintain inventory within applicable ERP systems
• Other duties as required

Skills/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to travel away from home location
• Ability to obtain hazmat certification within first month of employment
• Ability to use support equipment needed to receive packages
• Good driving record, able and comfortable to drive in a foreign country
• Good teamwork, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Previous experience and proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong customer service skills
• Highly resourceful and solution-focused
• Ability to work in tight spaces, work at elevated heights, lift balance and carry 50 lbs.
