Materials Field Verifier/Truck Driver

Viera Builders, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of A. Duda & Sons, Inc. is seeking an experienced, full time Materials Field Verifier/Truck Driver  Reporting to the Materials Manager, this position is responsible for staging the jobsites according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) aimed at minimizing material waste, increasing jobsite workflow efficiencies, ensuring the accuracy of the deliveries, and maximizing the amount received for leftover materials returned for credit. 

In addition, the duties include:

• Verifies the deliveries against the purchase orders to ensure that the correct materials and quantities are delivered to our jobsites. 
• Identifies, communicates and follows up on material quality or supply and delivery issues
• Stages the material on dunnage per the department's SOPs in order to minimize waste and increase jobsite workflow efficiencies.
• Supports the department objectives by helping to enforce the frame labor trade partner SOPs. .
• Responsible for safely operating and for operator level maintenance for a flatbed truck and a truck mounted forklift.
• Assists the VBI Superintendents and assistant-superintendents in moving or resetting materials as needed to ensure a continuous workflow from jobsite to jobsite and from one phase to the next. 
• Prepares leftover materials to be returned for credit per the department's SOPs.  

Requirements:     

High school diploma or equivalent required. Two or more years' truck driving experience and/or construction experience. CDL-B or CDL-A license.  This role requires excellent organizational skills, communication skills, a strong work ethic, physical labor and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadline.
