Hygiene & Quality Assurance - Nutritionist
We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Hygiene & Quality Assurance Nutritionist to join our growing New York Team!

Responsibilities:
- Analyze raw material ingredients for allergens and confirm if they meet halal requirements.
- Record the information into designated reports or the ERP system (Navision).
- Evaluate airline account needs and collaborate internally to adjust nutrition plans as required, ensuring alignment with the latest research.
- Control allergens and monitor compliance with product safety and regulatory standards (local, state, federal, and international regulations).
- Ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards, minimizing risks and ensuring a safe product for consumers.
- Provide administrative support and perform other duties as assigned by the Hygiene & Quality Assurance Manager.
- Provide orientation for new hires on quality and hygiene standards.
- Conduct annual training sessions as necessary for staff.
- Review and update menu specifications during cycle changes.
- Verify ingredients for allergen concerns, including ensuring compliance with HALAL standards.
- Create Raw Material and Finished Product Specifications.
- Collaborate on finished product specifications to ensure allergen safety.
- Maintain documentation and validate all relevant information in the Document Control Register.
- Calculate nutritional data using software tools (e.g., Genesis).
- Work with the purchasing department on raw ingredient documentation.
- Partner with the Food Safety Manager for 3rd-party Halal and Non-Halal audits as well as internal GMP audits.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in nutrition, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field.
- Licensed as a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN).
- Familiarity with local, state, federal, and international environmental, health, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, with the ability to interact across various functions and levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Ability to perform tasks with urgency and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and nutrition software.
- Availability for different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High level of accuracy in handling allergen information, regulatory compliance, and product specifications.
