We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Fleet Manager to join our growing New York Team!

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the preventive maintenance program to ensure timely maintenance and minimize downtime.
  • Manage fleet budgets, track expenses, and forecast future fleet needs while controlling costs.
  • Supervise vehicle inspections, accident reporting, fuel procedures, and ensure compliance with Airport Authorities and DOT regulations.
  • Select, purchase, and manage the disposal of vehicles based on operational needs and budget constraints.
  • Lead fleet safety audits, investigate complaints, and manage insurance claims to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
  • Manage the maintenance team, including mechanics, repair work, and part sourcing for optimal fleet performance.
  • Use GPS/telematics systems to track fleet performance, optimize routes, and enforce safety protocols.
  • Promote eco-friendly practices within fleet operations and negotiate cost-effective solutions with service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet performance, maintenance, and repairs to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Develop strategies to improve fleet efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and extend vehicle lifespans.
  • Create and deliver training materials on fleet management procedures, safety standards, and maintenance practices.
  • Develop and present presentations on fleet performance, budget reports, and strategic improvements to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely vehicle maintenance, minimize downtime, and extend vehicle life through efficient practices.
  • Maintain fleet cleanliness and suggest cost-saving improvements in operations and maintenance.
  • Control fleet costs, fuel efficiency, and ensure ongoing compliance with regulations. 

  

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 2 years in fleet management, logistics, or transportation with strong experience in vehicle maintenance and procurement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in GPS/telematics systems, fleet management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with staff, vendors, and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, ensuring safety, performance, and compliance.
  • Experience in data analysis for fleet performance, cost control, and optimization.
  • Strong experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling operational costs.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations, vehicle maintenance standards, and safety compliance.
  • Ability to identify and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts with suppliers and vendors.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency.
  • Self-organized, proactive, and excellent in planning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to create reports, track fleet data, and present information clearly to leadership and teams.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
