We are looking for technically skilled candidates with good problem-solving ability for the position of Associate IT MES Technician. The duties of an IT MES Technician include the configuration and support of our MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), a high level of collaboration with other departments, and the ability to identify and recommend improvements of our MES system in coordination with our Advanced Manufacturing Engineers.
IT MES Technician must also have the ability to strategically prioritize competing requests from various projects and enhancements. IT MES Technician must demonstrate a high degree of professional communication as they will present information to all levels of the company.
IT MES Technician Responsibilities:
Configure MES systems for optimal use in a fast-paced assembly environment.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Elicitation and documentation of requirements for collaborative success with 3rd party developers.
Identify potential issues with hardware that may impact the performance of the MES systems.
Ability to present and communicate ideas to a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
Installing and upgrading software patches to our MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
Performing tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.
Providing support to users and being the escalated point of contact for error reporting.
Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
Managing technical documentation.
IT MES Technician Requirements:
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK B CREW (6 PM - 4:30 AM TUES - FRI)
2+ years’ experience in computer network and systems maintenance.
1-2 years’ experience supporting Insequence MES System
1 year of experience with MS SQL Management Studio, including the ability to accurately perform queries.
Knowledge of NYSUS and Insequence MES system a plus.
Knowledge of SAP ERP a plus.
Participate in on call support rotation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Proficient in database programming and software installation.
Attention to detail.
Good problem-solving skills.
