Job Overview:
The Machine Repairperson B & C Crew (Journeyman) reports to the Maintenance Manager and is accountable for performing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, electrical and maintenance repairs. This opportunity is located at our manufacturing headquarters in Detroit, Michigan.
Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Qualifications and skills must include knowledge of Hydraulics, Servo motors in addition to the following skills:
- Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings.
- Qualified to repair injection molding equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors and other equipment at facility as required.
- Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate injection molding equipment. Maintain industrial control system.
- Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
- Create and report repairs at end of shift. Complete required paperwork, document parts and material usage.
- Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.
Required Skills/Educations/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have/possess the following:
- (4) or more years of experience
- A Journeyman’s License/Certification is REQUIRED/MANDATORY - NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Should possess exceptional knowledge, experience and qualifications in maintenance and machine repair
- Education required: High School Diploma/GED
- Must possess strong skills and experience with: Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical experience is required
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels in the organization
- Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
- B-crew: 6:00pm - 4:30am...Tues - Friday - (Saturday, Sunday & Monday off days)
- C-crew: 6:00am - 4:30pm... Fri & Saturday and 6:00pm - 4:30am...Sunday & Monday -
- (Tuesday, Wedesday & Thursday are the off days for C Crew)
