Production Manager

Major Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Integral Leadership Role on Plant Management Team
• Lead, manage, and develop our plant’s Team Members
• Establish, nurture and defend the “DMS– Culture”
• Audit and hold people accountable to DMS’s Business System
• Effectively manage all business risks
• Develop collaborative relationships with our customer
• Identify and eliminate sources of waste within our organization
• Ensure proper induction of newcomers
• Ensure proper flow of information to and from direct reports:  Top 5 regular information meetings, rapid cascade of critical information and of messages from management
• Ensure full respect of HSE rules and regulations
• Drive HSE process within UAP
• Drive improvement of working conditions and ergonomics within UAP

Required Skills/Education/Experience:

 The ideal candidate will have/possess the following skills and qualifications:

• A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business or Engineering
• 5 years post-degree/hands-on experience in automotive production
•  Operational knowledge of production methods (i.e. Kanban, 5S, Hoshin, TPM…)
• Creative, self-motivated, and works well in a cross-functional team environment
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and well organized
• Proven track record in upholding safety and quality standards
• Strong sense of teamwork
• Experience in leading and managing a fast paced, short window automotive supplier’s assembly and sequencing plant
• Seasoned manager that has gained considerable working knowledge in a manufacturing, assembly or distribution facility that provides the applicant:
• Interpersonal skills, personal comfort and respect for other people that are necessary to effectively communicate and actively interface with a production workforce on a daily basis
• The desire to strive for both personal and operational excellence through a never-ending search for a better tomorrow
