Maintenance Electrical Technician

Job Overview: The Maintenance Electrical Technician will select, measure, and prepare electrical wiring and perform instrument startup, calibration, safely connect high and low voltage power to equipment and/or product(s). The Maintenance Electrical Technician will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
• Perform predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and take appropriate action.
• Seek and consult with higher level position for more complex issues.
• Read wiring and circuit diagrams.

• Perform other duties as necessary

Required Skills/Experience

• 8+ Years of electrical experience.
• Must have a strong electrical/mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical control systems, machine components, electronic circuits and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• You must be Self-motivated and highly productive.
• Must be able to analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in equipment and related components.
• Must have the ability to read electrical schematics, technical repair manuals, prints, and specifications and use the information for the expedient repair of equipment.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley family including PLC 5000, PLC 500, Panel Builder, and Device Net.
• Knowledge of High power circuit
• Time management and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring and circuit diagrams for troubleshooting.
• Ability to operate vehicles and forklifts. 
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and diagrams. 
• Familiarity with hand tools and meters. 
• Sound ability to manage situations needing fairness, diplomacy, sound judgment, and firmness 
• Strong ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints and apply power and hand tools 
• Strong customer service skills; ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and in working with a personal computer and various relevant software tools
