Job Overview:

As a Sales Account Manager focused on Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales, account management, and a keen understanding of the market. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, developing effective sales strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Prospecting and Lead Generation:
    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industries for business development.
    • Generate leads through various channels, including networking events, cold calling, and online research.
  2. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
    • Understand client needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their business objectives.
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
  3. Sales Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business development goals.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to create customized solutions for clients.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  4. Sales Presentations and Negotiations:
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients.
    • Negotiate terms and conditions, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
    • Work closely with the legal team to finalize contracts and agreements.
  5. Sales Reporting and Analysis:
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
    • Provide regular reports on sales performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
    • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.

 

Requirements:

 The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  1. Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. Experience:
    • 5+ years of proven experience in sales and business development, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
    • Experience in managing key accounts and developing successful client relationships.
    • Proven ability to independently create, analyze, and present comprehensive business plans for new opportunities.
    • Evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with new business ventures and provide strategic recommendations.
  3. Communication Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to articulate complex ideas and solutions in a clear and compelling manner.
    • Ability to effectively communicate business plans to senior management, highlighting key considerations and potential impacts on the organization.
  4. Analytical Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.

 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  1. Industry Specific Knowledge:
    • Experience in a contract manufacturing environment is a significant plus.
  1. CRM and Sales Software:
    • Experience with CRM software and other sales management tools.
  2. Team Collaboration:
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  3. Adaptability:
    • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
