Dinsmore is seeking a Director of Revenue Operations at our Cincinnati, OH location. Responsibilities include leading and elevating the firm’s revenue operations strategy to execute on initiatives, optimize systems and drive cross-functional collaboration to meet growth targets. The position requires extensive experience in the revenue sector with a strong financial vision and insight. This position oversees the billing, accounts receivable, and client intake teams and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the overarching revenue operations strategy to support business goals, driving revenue growth and operational excellence; scope includes Business Intake/onboarding, Billing Operations, and Accounts Receivable Management functions for the firm.
- Observe, identify, and communicate data-driven insights in order to optimize the performance of the revenue operations and related functions.
- Establish and manage Key Performance Indicators for Revenue Operations functions and leverage data to build continual service improvement roadmaps for the teams.
- Oversee and refine revenue generation lifecycle, including business intake, billing and collections, ensuring alignment with overall Firm finance objectives.
- Partner with internal Partners and stakeholders to manage escalation management and problem resolution with practice group leadership. Foster trust between the departments with strong communication, and follow through on issue resolution and process improvement.
- Manage and optimize the company’s revenue-related platforms and tools, primarily the firm’s time and billing systems and client intake systems. Ensure that these systems are effectively supporting the revenue operations strategy.
- Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of firm policies related to revenue operations.
- Drive data integrity, reporting and accuracy across revenue systems. Implement and oversee data management practices to support informed decision-making and reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across revenue operations.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive reports and dashboards on revenue performance, trends, and key metrics. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Lead and mentor a team of revenue operations professionals, including the Billing Operations Administrator, Business Intake Manager, Billing Manager and Client Collections Manager. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team. Build the bench of future leaders through engagement and performance management.
- Manage the implementation of changes and new initiatives within the revenue operations framework, ensuring smooth transitions and stakeholder alignment.
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Master's degree and/or CPA preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior revenue operations or finance leadership position
- Proficiency in financial, billing, and reporting systems (i.e. Aderant, Iridium, or related software)
- Experience managing client onboarding, implementation, or intake as part of a firm providing professional services preferred
- Excel power user preferred, ability to create operational dashboards and reporting to drive actionable insights and continual service improvement initiatives
- Extremely knowledgeable in financial forecasting and financial data analysis
- Strong interpersonal skills with the propensity to successfully foster new and maintain long-standing business relationships
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written; skilled in the art of negotiation
- Experience managing Revenue Lifecycle process(es), or related quote-to-cash experience, preferred
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner
- Outstanding integrity, solid moral judgment, and the ability to make important decisions under pressure
- Expert problem solver, analytical thinker, and decision-maker
- Possess strong leadership skills and business acumen
- Experience in a professional services industry
