Senior Staff Accountant

Dinsmore is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant at its Cincinnati location. This position assists in the areas of accounting, reconciliation and reporting for multiple ancillary businesses of the Firm.

Responsibilities

• Full cycle Accounting and reporting for ancillary businesses including: AR and AP processing and recording, maintaining client relationships, assisting with inquiries regarding invoices, charges, payments and credits
• Performing monthly banking, payroll and distribution reconciliations, along with other financial analysis projects as needed
• Candidates must demonstrate excellence in accounting and budgeting with strong business acumen
• Prepare checks for proprietary of account distribution, proper approval, etc. for both weekly and monthly accounts payable transactions 
• Randomly audits workflow to ensure that all accounts payable transactions are appropriately authorized and IRS compliant
• Assists in the month end closing process, which includes providing supporting information and data
• Reviews and approves attorney client development reimbursement requests
• Responds to internal inquiries concerning financial data and reporting
• Serves as a resource to other administrative departments

Requirements

• The ideal candidate has minimum 5-7 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Advanced skills in Excel and QuickBooks
