The Opportunity: Our St. Petersburg branch is seeking a VP Branch Manager - Business Development that will lead their branch operations including member service, sales, operational management, and community engagement. The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day branch activities, driving performance, fostering business growth, and enhancing our presence in the community through active participation in networking events and business development initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
Branch Leadership and Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the branch to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Lead, coach, and develop branch staff to achieve performance goals and maintain high standards of member service.
- Monitor and manage branch performance metrics, including sales targets, member satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
Member Service Excellence
- Foster a member-centric culture by ensuring all staff provide exceptional service and personalized financial solutions.
- Assist members with their personal and business banking needs.
- Resolve complex member issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
- Regularly review and enhance service processes to improve member experience and satisfaction.
Sales and Business Development
- Drive branch sales initiatives to meet and exceed sales targets for products and services.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to enhance member relationships and financial well-being.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and deepen relationships with existing members.
- Periodically attend joint calls with lines of business partners and prospective members/members.
Community Engagement and Networking
- Represent DFCU Financial at community and networking events to build and strengthen community relationships.
- Actively participate in local business groups, chambers of commerce, and other relevant organizations.
- Promote DFCU Financials brand and services within the community to attract new business and household accounts.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure operational processes are followed accurately and efficiently to minimize risk and enhance service quality.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Implement best practices for cash management, security, and fraud prevention.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a track record of driving performance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to develop new business and build and maintain relationships within the community.
- Results driven and proactive with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Consistent positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude.
- Knowledge of credit union products, services, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
