The Opportunity: We are seeking a Training Specialist to join our team. The Training Specialist will support internal stakeholders by developing training curricula and facilitating training programs. They will collaborate with the Training team and subject matter experts to develop and maintain training content, monitoring for effectiveness and recommending training program enhancements.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct training sessions in-person and virtually, ensuring effective content delivery.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive training content tailored to credit union policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with participants, providing support and follow-up training, as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility in training style to meet participant needs and ensure engagement.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback and performance metrics.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in training techniques.
- Offer continuous recommendations to improve training programs and approach.
- Research and recommend outside vendors and systems to supplement training efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities and participant attendance.
- Provide direct feedback about participant's performance to their manager and human resources.
- Contribute to the development and success of an eLearning ecosystem.
- Direct observation of business units, as needed to help develop training material.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or education related field or combination of education and experience.
- Financial institution experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Proven presentation and facilitation skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively while handling multiple priorities.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including SharePoint.
