Community:
The Institute for Healing Racial Trauma (IHRT) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a holistic counseling that addresses the therapeutic, cultural, and educational needs of those we serve. We aim to raise awareness of the needs of the community, the benefits of mental health treatment, as well as aid in the decrease of the stigmatization for those who receive mental health services. IHRT is the sister company of The Relationship Clinic (TRC) who provide mental health services, education and training, coaching, and consulting.
Our organization is looking for a skilled intern to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping us maintain and improve day-to-day administrative operations. Much of your time will be spent collaborating with our team. You will oversee client communications, assist with scheduling and electronic health records, and participate in team meetings. You may also be asked to conduct research in various areas related to our organization.

- Welcome clients with a positive attitude.
- Prepare and update client files.
- Obtain client information.
- Monitor client communication via email and phone.
- Run basic accounting/bookkeeping tasks.
- Event planning, presentation preparation, and coordination with site stakeholders.
- Conduct relevant research.
- Light bookkeeping.
- Update social media

- Must be an enrolled student.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a current student in good standing and possess a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester.
- FWS fund eligible.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed, motivated individuals.
- People who sit around, waiting to be told what to do will not do well in this environment.
