JOB SUMMARY

As an important member of our multi-disciplinary team, provides clinical and business management and oversight of community-based programs and services, which entails several levels of care in the services continuum. Responsible for ensuring quality client care, supporting staff performance, and actively participating in organizational initiatives. Programs currently within the Community-Based Services Department include:

•    Case Management
•    Targeted Case Management
•    Jail In-Reach
•    Supported Employment
•    Housing Support & Residential Services
•    Co-Responder Programs

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations
•    Develops and monitors budget for all programs under director’s supervision.
•    Manages all aspects of personnel under the responsibility of the director with appropriate collaboration as necessary.
•    Demonstrates data driven decision capabilities in daily operations and long-term planning.
•    Oversees and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
•    Role models excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
•    Ensures environmental safety and therapeutic milieu for staff and clients.
•    Manages contracts with DBHDD and external agencies.

Clinical
•    Assure appropriate clinical programming at all sites under director’s supervision
•    Ensures high quality documentation through reviews, audits, and adherence to agency guidelines
•    Assures ethical standards and the provision of highest level of services
•    Enhances development of staff by ensuring clinical supervision and on-going education
•    Provides clinical leadership to promote best practices

Organizational Contribution
•    Develops and promotes collaborative internal and external relationships
•    Actively supports and implements agency strategic goals
•    Develops potential leaders to support substantive contribution and leadership succession
•    Consistently demonstrates clinical and professional leadership presence

 

SKILL, COMPETENCY, AND EDUCATION AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated success in upper management with two years of administrative experience and two years of experience in behavioral health service delivery
  • Current Georgia license as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT

 

INTER-RELATIONSHIPS

  • Able to communicate effectively with co-workers, internal and external customers, and the public
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with clients and families

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Within clinic and community settings Monday-Friday 8:15am-5:00pm; however, some evening and weekend hours may be required as dictated by program needs
  • Travel throughout DBHDD Region 3 required and occasional travel through the state of Georgia
  • Ability to use a computer, telephone, fax, copy and scanning machine
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background (fingerprint) check, have valid Georgia driver’s license and motor vehicle record, complete/pass agency-sponsored defensive driving course, as well as all other agency-required trainings
