POSITION SUMMARY — Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Duties include assembling, addressing, inventory, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material and arranging for the transportation of products. WORK ENVIRONMENT — Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Examine contents and verify appropriate signoffs on incoming or outgoing shipments and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders
- Verify and enter delivery and shipment documents in to the computer system accurately and timely
- Confer and correspond with appropriate representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, paperwork errors, and MCN processing for non-conforming material
- Perform cycle counting and physical inventory duties as necessary
- Record scrap and shipment documentation as necessary
- Prepare documents including work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials
- Record shipment data accurately including weight, charges, damages, and discrepancies, etc. for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes
- Provide appropriate and timely documentation and communication for non-conforming materials MCN’s to the suppliers
- Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers
- Support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findings

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Graduate, GED, or HSDE preferred
Experience: One-year related experience
Computer Skills: Must demonstrate computer literacy; Ability to learn custom programs
