POSITION SUMMARY – Position entails analyzing data (FTT%, PPM, etc.) to identify and support projects for improving the quality of products. The Quality Engineering Intern will participate in problem-solving activities to identify the root cause(s) and implement corrective action(s) for concerns. WORK ENVIRONMENT — Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Create & update support documentation such as control plans, operator instructions, and appearance standards
- Develop reports and/or dashboards for communicating quality metrics throughout the organization
- Report progress to immediate supervisor throughout length of internship
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to take direction from immediate supervisor
- Ability to adapt to work environment and perform versatile tasks
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Determination to meet deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality when applicable
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Sophomore, Junior or Senior studying Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience: No experience necessary; general knowledge of the field preferred.
Computer Skills: Must demonstrate computer literacy; proficient in Microsoft Office.
