The Technical Business Development Manager – Air Preheat will be responsible for driving growth by developing and promoting non-sulfuric applications of our gas/gas plate heat exchanger technologies, with a particular focus on expanding into new markets. This role will lead efforts to increase market opportunities and generate revenue growth through innovative commercial strategies for both existing and new offerings.

 

Key activities include engaging with customers, conducting market research, performing cost-benefit analyses, and creating marketing materials (such as brochures, sales presentations, and case studies). This individual will also be responsible for proposal development and will collaborate closely with technical service and sales teams globally. Additionally, the role requires developing the technical expertise to design and troubleshoot our product line.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop emerging markets for non-sulfuric gas/gas heat exchanger sales.
  • Design and troubleshoot heat exchangers based on our gas/gas technologies.   Become a subject matter expert in their design and application in a variety of industries.
  • Research and understand carbon reduction technologies and their alignment with our equipment.   Develop marketing material content to highlight carbonless energy solutions and their relevance to customer’s goals.
  • Preparation of complete, accurate and on-time customer proposals and price estimates.
  • Support sales efforts with timely responses to technical and commercial questions from clients.
  • Review and analyze technical specifications.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering is required with at least 5 years related experience; MBA preferred.
  • Experience in refining, ethylene and/or other cracker applications preferred
  • Strong knowledge of heat transfer and experience in designing heat exchangers is preferred.
  • Time management and task prioritization required to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly direct and manage relationships with customers, business development managers, and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
