Senior Technical Services Engineer
The Elessent Clean Technologies Cleaner Fertilizers, Metals and Chemicals (CFMC) (MECS®) business has a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Service Engineer. The Senior Technical Service Engineer will report to the Americas Technical Services Leader. This individual will lead technical service activities to support customers’ operating plants in the Elessent Clean Technologies CFMC business. This individual will be critical in capturing customer satisfaction for the CFMC business.
Essential Duties:
All duties to be performed according to the established standard and in compliance with all company policies and procedures while maintaining regular, prompt attendance and availability for overtime as needed:
• Execute technical service engagements at customer sites.
• Lead technical service teams during engagements at customer sites including, but not limited to, commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, plant evaluations, process studies, and training.
• Deliver high quality technical service and results to support CFMC business; support all areas of the technology with operational expertise; support alignment with sales strategy, customer complaint management, and internal & external customer relationship development.
• Respond rapidly to internal and external customers in distress.
• Mentor other engineers in the CFMC business.
• Ensure all technical service work is conducted in accordance with Elessent safety standards.
• Support standardization of technical service delivery processes and tools and document best operating practices.
• Coordinate with regional resources to support international customers.
• Ensure documentation and knowledge capture from the team.
• Be a role model of Elessent Core Values.
• Troubleshooting (on-site and remote).
• Technical Service Agreement Execution.
• Acid Plant commissioning, startup, and shutdown.
• Provide technical support for sales organization.
• Turnaround consulting.
• Operator Training.
• Plant optimization / revamp studies.
Work Environment:
• Regularly exposed to an office environment with controlled temperature.
• Fast paced work environment.

• The noise level is generally light to moderate.
• Travel will be required to customer sites in the USC and LATAM regions as well as globally.
• Occasionally exposed to a chemical plant environment.

Physical Demands:
The tasks of this position generally require duties to be performed by:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Education/Experience
• BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 or more years of experience in sulfuric acid process technology.
• Knowledge of a process simulator (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, etc.) is preferred.
