BASIC PURPOSE:
The Educator Support Specialist is responsible for assisting and supporting the Substitute Department field staff. The Educator Support Specialist will work closely with the staff development department to onboard field staff by providing orientation, professional development coaching and mentoring. The Educator Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all field staff understand the functions, tasks and expected outcomes of their job performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensuring educational activities are congruent with the Company’s mission statement.
- Providing an appropriate climate for learning and facilitate the adult learning process by adapting and presenting educational activities and directly or indirectly fostering the development of competence.
- Ensuring qualified candidates are interviewed, hired, and mentored, as needed.
- Contributes to the strategy and initiatives of hiring.
- Contributes to engagement strategies.
- Facilitates professional development sessions and trainings.
- Coaches staff on a continual basis, including performance feedback.
- Attends recruitment events to represent Company’s mission and vision.
- Other job duties and tasks, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 year of teaching experience in a K-12 setting required; 5+ years preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Skilled at public speaking, willingness to deliver presentations and training groups of employees.
- Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning skills.
- Skilled with computers, presentation software, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must display patience, good teaching skills and active listening skills.
- Organized, detailed oriented, excellent follow through.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Company equipment(laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse headset) will be provided directly to you for use during employment.
