Position Summary
In this newly created position, the Women in Sports Fellowship recipient will take part in a 12-month, rotational internship program that will provide meaningful professional experiences across four departments. The yearlong opportunity will allow for the participant to gain knowledge in marketing, ticketing, digital and events providing a well-rounded experience so that the participant garners the understanding of what a career in each line of the business would entail
Primary Responsibilities
Brand/Consumer Marketing:
- Join the brand and consumer marketing team to learn…
- What constitutes a brand strategy
- How that strategy impacts fan development
- The overall businesses of both the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Football Club
- Learn about the creative services process to see how the brands are brought to life visually
Ticketing:
- Selling Responsibilities: Group Tickets through outbound sales calls and phone sales, grow into additional Selling Responsibilities: PSL’s, Single Game Luxury Suites
- Assist in providing a specialized level of customer service to clients, members, and vendors, including day-to-day operations, written correspondence, phone calls, account maintenance inquiries, appointment scheduling, follow up, ticketing and amenity inquiries, etc.
- Acquire general knowledge of ticketing functions and duties to be able to assist on an as needed basis
Digital Marketing:
- Help ideate and learn how to run + optimize digital marketing campaigns across social media, websites, email and display networks
- Obtain a full understanding of email marketing and how it integrates into larger marketing campaigns by building emails to fans, understand metrics and list segmentation
- Research what other teams in professional sports are doing and give presentations to leaders on findings and ways the Panthers and Charlotte FC can execute on some of those researched ideas
- Examine topics around website experiences, revenue generating activities, fan engagement efforts, etc.
Events:
- Participate in the behind-the-scenes planning and execution of a full stadium event
- Receive hands-on experience with stadium set up, break down and day-of operations
- Areas of operation include, but are not limited to, game day staffing, field maintenance, stadium security, interaction with contractors & vendors, and customer service
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience and/or a strong interest in working in sports
- Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and all Carolina Panthers and Stadium events, including events held on weekends, nights, and holidays
- A valid driver’s license
- Must pass pre-employment screens

Work Environment
- This job operates in a professional office environment (mostly office environment, outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions) and remotely as assigned by the manager and based on current business needs.
