Bar Lead
In this role, you must be passionate about the food and beverage industry and create immersive CosmWorthy experiences, while creating captivating experiences for our guests.
A Bartender Lead at Cosm ensures the highest level of hospitality is delivered to their fans at all times by providing best-in-class food and beverage service, friendly interactions with both fans and fellow team members, and a positive attitude at all times. The shift lead will be responsible for managing the breaks, and appropriate coverage for the team.
Responsibilities:
Applicant must be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. The individual must also follow all appropriate Cosm policies and procedures outlined in the training manuals and employee handbook.
· Conduct the shift pre-shift meeting with the team.
· Consistently arrives to work as scheduled, prepared to assume shift responsibilities.
· Consistently arrives to work well-groomed and in proper uniform.
· Is knowledgeable of all food and beverage menus, specials, seasonal beers and drinks.
· Follows all Cosm’s Pillar’s of Service for each fan as outlined in the training materials.
· Handle all comps, or refunds in the POS.
· Focuses on a one-team approach by helping other team members to ensure fan satisfaction.
· Follows all company accounting policies and procedures regarding credit card and gift card transactions.
· Follows all company accounting policies and procedures regarding discounts, promos and team member meals.
· Engages fans, coworkers, and managers with a positive, friendly, professional approach during all interactions.
· Ensures each Cosm fan is taken care of upon entering the building to leaving the building.
· Is knowledgeable of the Company’s products, services, current promotions, and recurring events.
· Willingly, and with positive attitude, follows direction of all supervisors, including additional requests for side work, cleaning, etc.
· Follows State Liquor laws and Company policies regarding the service of any alcoholic beverage and enforcement of ordinances and laws.
· Attends all on-going food, bar, or service trainings, when scheduled.
· Complies with, and supports, all policies set forth by the Cosm employee handbook and training manuals.
· Must be able to work a variety of shifts, based on the need volume of the operation (late hours, holidays, weekend, etc.)
· Must consistently be friendly and outgoing toward fans, management, and fellow team members.
· Must work well in a fast-paced environment.
· Must work well under pressure.
· Demonstrates good time management skills and communication skills.
· Follows Company and state safety guidelines to provide a safe working environment.
Experience:
Previous bartending experience required, preferable management experience leading a team
Excellent communication and professional interpersonal skills required.
Must be fluent in English and able to write in basic English.
Food handlers’ card and state recognized responsible alcohol certification.
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with local and state laws.
Must be able to continuously stand, walk and lift up to 10 pounds.
Must be able to frequently bend, squat, reach overhead, and lift up to 20 pounds.
Will be occasionally kneeling and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Will seldom be sitting, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting over 50 pounds.
requires full flexibility, ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and a varied schedule
Must be available to work evening and late-night hours weekends and holidays as business dictates
Must display ability to work with general computer operations, including Point-of-Sales (MICROS)
