PPAP Coordinator
The Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is the approval process for new or revised parts, or parts produced from new or significantly revised production methods to ensure they meet customer specifications and requirements. As a 3PL logistics service provider, PPAP is critical to Hollingsworth.
We are looking to expand our PPAP function to support business growth and need new talent to coordinate our Production Part Approval Processes. Candidates with PPAP and other quality experience, particularly in automotive, are ideal. But we’re also open and ready to train new talent to be effective and productive PPAP Coordinators. A PPAP Coordinator role can be a great way to learn the business and our customers. It can be a great career path step to other quality, supervisory, or procurement-related roles.
PPAP COORDINATOR – KEY JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
- Data entry and checks for completion, accuracy, or issues
- Coordinate and expedite acquisition review and processing of PPAP documentation.
- Obtain and submit PPAP documentation for Customer approval.
- Create or acquire, submit, and maintain additional product documentation per customer requests (e.g., country of origin, conflict minerals, and substance restrictions).
- Resolve PPAP issues with suppliers and Customers.
- Where needed, improve SAP, procedures and work instructions associated with these processes.
- Assist in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities as needed.
- Create and provide reports as needed.
- Maintain accurate, consistent, and complete documentation and records.
- Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PPAP COORDINATOR – DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – including interacting with customers, making requests, follow up, and productively challenging/engaging others as needed
- Quick and accurate typing
- Proficiency in working with computers including MS Office
- Able to work under tight timelines
- Commitment to high-quality work (attention to detail, accuracy, completeness)
- Commitment to being a productive and professional team member
- Strong time and organization management
- Team player
- Work experience PPAP and/or SAP ideal but not required
