SUMMARY STATEMENT/POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

The supervisor is responsible for leading their shift and communicating the operational needs to their employees. The supervisor will also be expected to make all operational decisions for their shift. The supervisor must also understand the importance of safety and understand and demonstrate all safety protocol and procedures.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES - Production Supervisor 

  • Oversee activities and responsibilities of all personnel on their shift
  • Coordinate daily workload between the available resources
  • Ensure all procedures are followed by all personnel
  • Ensure adequate training of new employees, retraining and cross training of existing personnel to allow for a flexible workforce and opportunities for advancement
  • Data collection and reporting
  • Performs quality inspections of employee’s assigned duties
  • Basic understanding of dispatch
  • Communicates safety expectations to employees
  • Promotes and enforces a safe work environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

  •  SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS - Production Supervisor
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience supervising (minimum of 2 years)
  • Must be bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English)
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent attendance
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement processes and procedures
  • Communication, instruction and leadership skills to direct the work of others
  • Must be able to obtain background clearance
