Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and team-focused Pack-Line/Tail Operator to support our steel manufacturing warehouse operations. This role ensures the banding line runs efficiently and safely while meeting customer packaging specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy machinery, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor banding line equipment to maintain safe, steady operations.
• Review and follow customer-specific packaging instructions, ensuring all materials are packaged correctly.
• Verify material weights and ensure they meet customer specifications, recording data accurately.
• Inspect materials for defects, ensuring quality standards are upheld.
• Tag finished materials and produce shipping tags for each package.
• Perform packaging tasks, including paper wrapping, papering skids, and banding materials.
• Participate in cross-training opportunities and carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Position Requirements:

• Experience with heavy machinery, stacking equipment, and banding line operations.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maximize machine efficiency and demonstrate effective time management.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure for accurate material handling.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and tracking tasks.
