In support of this goal, we are looking for a Transplant Coordinator to join our team in our San Antonio office.

What does a Transplant Coordinator do?

The Transplant Coordinator plays a vital role in conducting all tasks related to referral coordination and eligibility of donated tissue that enhances and improves lives globally. This team member is a steward for each donor’s Gift by ensuring standardized operational practices are effectively executed at the local level and by seeking continual improvement opportunities to maximize the value of the Gift. Specific responsibilities include review of all relevant and required donor records to determine donor eligibility for transplant, research and education, or destruction in accordance with the EBAA Medical Standards, FDA applicable regulations and the CorneaGen policies and procedures.

What else should I know about this position?

This is an hourly, per-diem position that is 100% remote. This role is scheduled for 2-3 shifts/week and requires availability of nights/overnights including weekends as we are a 24/7 x 365 operation. The Overnight shift is from 11pm to 7am and provides a night and weekend shift differential. This position also participates in on-call responsibilities related to referral screening and authorization.

What if I’ve never done this type of work before?

Not a problem! We will provide on-the-job training to give you the skills and knowledge needed to become a Transplant Coordinator! All we ask of you is that:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life science or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience required.
  • Your previous work experience demonstrates that you can collaborate with others on a team, have a strong attention to detail, and can communicate effectively (written, verbal, etc.) within a professional work environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
 

What compensation and benefits do you offer?
The minimum wage for this position is $19.00 hourly and the maximum wage is $22.00 hourly. Individual compensation will vary within this range based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, dependent upon company and individual performance.
