Job Overview:
The CNC Machinist will produce precision metal components which requires candidate to review engineering drawings, to set up, operate and maintain equipment for forming raw metal by cutting into reciprocating compressor-related components. The machinist will read and interpret detailed engineering drawings to identify tolerance and size requirements, including working with engineering and production control as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a wide range of CNC-style lathes efficiently and accurately.
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned jobs within the allotted time, while planning and organizing future machining tasks.
- Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and consistently demonstrate a solid work ethic.
- Utilize a high mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain a positive and proactive attitude in all aspects of the job.
- Prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of projects without compromising quality.
- Leverage a deep understanding of machining and manufacturing processes, and actively share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to obtain OSHA-required Forklift Certification.
- Proficient in computer applications, especially in shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control.
- Knowledge of and experience with precision-measuring instruments, including but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, with a strong understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions.
- Familiarity with tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines.
- Strong senses of sight and hearing, with excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to speak with poise, voice control, and confidence, using a well-modulated voice.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple routine projects and activities simultaneously while maintaining control, poise, and professionalism.
- Having experience with Okuma CNC Lathe, Fanuc CNC Lathe, Mori Seiki Lathe, Mastercam Programming highly preferred
