Summary:

The Account Executive, Enterprise Mid-Market is tasked with driving revenue and expanding CompTIA’s client base, both new and existing, within a specified territory or market channel. The role involves identifying and cultivating relationships with potential clients, maintaining and growing existing accounts, understanding client needs, building product and service solutions, and discovering new business and market opportunities. A thorough understanding of our company's products or services, a strong grasp on market dynamics, solid networking capabilities, and proficient communication and negotiation skills are essential for success in this role. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Close business to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings goals
  • Use industry trends to understand customer pain points and align solutions based on customer needs
  • Conduct meetings with decision makers and influencers within the client and speak as a leader in this space
  • Develop key customer stakeholder relationships and drive customer satisfaction at assigned accounts
  • Develop and drive the overall long-term strategy for the account, aligned to customer objectives
  • Coordinate internal CompTIA resources including marketing, operations, client services to ensure strategies are aligned with the company’s overall objectives and work together towards successful client outcomes to meet customer business needs
  • Perform account planning at assigned accounts, to ensure strategic alignment
  • Drive growth within an existing assigned account includes regular communication, timely follow-ups, and productive meetings to understand their needs and provide solutions
  • Attending industry events, conferences, and meetings to network with potential clients and partners
  • Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of business development activities. This includes tracking metrics and analyzing data to inform future strategies

 

Key Performance Metrics:

 

  • Maintain and exceed monthly revenue objective
  • Development of consistent territory pipeline
  • Drive account engagement and activities leading to positive business engagement
  • Monitor, track and analyze territory performance

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Consultative and solution/value selling approach meeting new and existing revenue objectives
  • Demonstrate strong Business Development, Negotiation, and Communication skills at the client decision making level
  • Excellent Research skills, and develop in depth knowledge of your prospect's/customer's business, organizational structure, and business processes to grow sales
  • Exceptional track record in advanced enterprise Sales with proven over performance
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication abilities, facilitating clear and persuasive interactions with both clients and internal teams
  • Works effectively within a team, balancing individual responsibilities with the needs and goals of the wider team and company
  • Shows adaptability in changing market conditions and a problem-solving approach to overcoming account challenges

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

  • Degree preferred but not required for the role
  • 5+ years of direct experience in related field
