Housekeeping Assistant Manager $68,640 per year

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manage the daily activities of the housekeeping department to include appropriate cleaning of all offices, concourses, seating areas, washrooms, restaurants, and all public spaces.
- Manage, direct and oversee the day-to-day operation of housekeeping department and laundry facility. Supervise performance of housekeeping staff.
- Ensure facility is clean and sanitized for all guests and employees.
- Planning, organizing and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction.
- Daily supervision of the housekeeping staff, including the day, event and post-event crews.
- Purchase, re-order and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory.
- Recruit, schedule and train all new housekeeping staff members.
- Maintain the housekeeping budget, providing billing summaries and expenses for all pre and post events.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within housekeeping department.
- Determines and maintains the department work schedule used to notify staff of upcoming events and ensure proper preparation and staffing for each event.
- Ensures the proper maintenance of all equipment; makes arrangements for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
- Demonstrate leadership and training to staff.
- Communicate effectively to staff
- Meet goals of production of production.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or GED required; four (4) year college degree preferred.
Work Experience: At least four (4) years’ experience in all aspects of Housekeeping with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Must demonstrate strong leadership skills. Must possess an ability to work with minimal supervision and make educated ethical decisions as necessary. Must be able to resolve conflicts and have effective communication skills with all levels of employees and be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment. Must demonstrate an ability to work independently, prepare detailed professional correspondence, memoranda, policies, procedures as well as regulations related to the employee’s duties. A general knowledge of the Windows based computer operating systems is also required.
