What you will do:
We are looking for a FOUNDATION PROGRAM SPECIALIST who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the position will look like.
- Evaluates funding proposals and performs due diligence, including exploratory conversations, site visits, and budget/financial reviews. Summarize findings and make grant recommendations to the Executive Director and foundation board of directors.
- Designs and tracks desired outcomes and performance metrics to assess both individual grantee performance and the overall impact of the Foundation’s grantmaking.
- Monitors grantee performance by reviewing reports, maintaining strong relationships with grantees, following up to obtain necessary information, providing technical assistance, and supporting problem-solving. Ensures compliance with grant agreements and successful program implementation.
- Represents the foundation in external forums with nonprofits, public/private funders, and the general public, communicating the foundation’s grantmaking priorities, guidelines, and proposal review process.
- Prepares concept papers and research findings on trends, best practices, and exemplary programs (locally and nationally) to inform funding strategies.
- Supports implementation of a grants management system for the COA foundation.
- Develops content for the foundation’s website, social media pages, newsletters, annual publications, and other communication platforms.
What you will bring:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a health, public health, or public policy related field required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute with a preference for two years progressive work experience.
Experience: Minimum of three years foundation, program evaluation, or project management experience required in a foundation or related setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrates support for the company’s mission, vision and values. Position requires excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication. Excellent collaboration skills, strong working relationships and direct communication with both internal and external customers. Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to manage changing priorities. Ability to manage complex assignments and responsibilities and collaborate with other staff to meet deadlines. Excellent meeting management including facilitating, presenting, managing agendas, and meeting minutes. Must be a motivated self-starter and self-learner. Skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required. SharePoint and Salesforce skills preferred. May be required to manage multiple priorities and projects with tight deadlines.
Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance will be required for any position requiring driving.

Pay, Perks and Benefits at Colorado Access:
The compensation for this position is $69,300.00 - $80,240.00 annually. Colorado Access has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Colorado Access may pay for the position at the time of posting. Colorado Access may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Where you will work:
This position will be a hybrid model work environment, a blend of ‘In-Office’ and ‘Remote.’
