What you will do:
We are looking for a SENIOR ACCREDITATION CONSULTANT who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the position will look like.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for all NCQA accreditation activities, including HPA and HEA.
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive accreditation readiness program to ensure compliance with NCQA standards.
- Partner with consultants and internal teams to conduct mock surveys, gap analyses, and readiness assessments.
- Manage accreditation survey processes (onsite or virtual), including logistics, document preparation, and auditor interactions.
- Develop and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely and successful accreditation submissions.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to align NCQA requirements with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Design and implement a new committee governance structure to support accreditation and quality initiatives.
- Lead multiple committees, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and accreditation standards.
- Facilitate committee meetings, track deliverables, and address barriers to progress.
- Design and deliver training programs for NCQA standards and updates, ensuring staff across the organization are informed and prepared.
- Partner with business owners to maintain a Health Equity training program aligned with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve accreditation objectives.
- Develop and present detailed reports to leadership on compliance status, gaps, risks, and corrective action plans.
- Work with the Quality team to ensure alignment on oversight activities and survey preparation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accreditation readiness and compliance activities.
- Lead efforts to standardize documentation, data collection, and reporting processes across functions.
What you will bring:
Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in health plan operations, quality improvement, or healthcare accreditation, with at least 3 years of direct experience managing NCQA accreditation, including HPA and HEA.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of NCQA accreditation standards and HEDIS requirements, with proven success managing accreditation processes Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive quality improvement efforts. Position requires excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex information to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop short- and long- term goals. Demonstrates support for the company’s mission, vision and values. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to effectively facilitate group interactions. . Proven self-starter, excellent organizational and time management skills; able to work independently and with very limited supervision. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with standard Windows software packages, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet.
Licenses/Certifications: CPHQ Certification is preferred. A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance will be required for any position requiring driving.

Pay, Perks and Benefits at Colorado Access:
The compensation for this position is $102,620.00 - $128,180.00 annually. Colorado Access has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Colorado Access may pay for the position at the time of posting. Colorado Access may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Where you will work:
This position will be a hybrid model work environment, a blend of ‘In-Office’ and ‘Remote.’
