Lead Architect (Governance), Data Architecture & Standards

Position Summary:
Lead all data related initiatives within Data Strategy & Architecture with a focus on the Data Governance program from a technical perspective. This role will be responsible for architecting / designing, developing, and implementing various components across our Collibra / MDM-RDM Platforms as well as the integration of other Data Governances Tools though the use of Connectors. Role will be responsible for advancing the architecture, asset model, and workflow efforts across the enterprise. Set best practices, standards and procedures for the Data Governance Platform
Essential Functions:
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise for Collibra Platform, from a technical perspective, to support Data Governance functions (e.g., Business Glossary, Data Catalog, Reference Data, Data Lineage, Data Quality) by implementing industry best practices procedures, creation of usage guidelines, as well as working with the business to implement their Collibra requirements.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise for MDM-RDM Platform, from a technical perspective, to support Data Governance functions (e.g., Mastering Client / Customer / Cardholder / Employee data, etc.) by implementing best practices and working with the business to implement their master data management / reference data management requirements
- Lead (manage) the implementation of the initial MDM-RDM implementation (Use Cases)
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise in WorkFlow Management not only in Collibra but also MDM-RDM solutions
- Provide mentorship to junior technical staff currently supporting Collibra and MDM-RDM
- Expand the usage of the Data Dictionary and establish the data flow usage and lineage
- Design, develop, test and configure all aspects of the Data Governance Platform including processes, data interfaces, and data stores
- Capture and document current data flows along with proper data governance practices, policies and procedures
- Ensure that the Data Governance Asset models are developed and maintained
- Ensure suitability of overall architecture to the functional technical and non-functional requirements
- Designing all cross-framework services
- Defining appropriate unit, system, performance and user acceptance test strategies and standards
- Responsible for leading the effort to coordinate work with critical path project resources
- Ensure the integrity, elegance and maintainability of the overall Data Governance/Collibra architecture
- Gather requirements, apply strong analysis and design skills to build specifications
- Provide proper technical documentation to satisfy all corporate guidelines
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 12 - 15+ years’ experience in deploying and managing enterprise information delivery initiatives within Cloud based and / or distributed environments
- Consumer Financial Services background beneficial
Summary of Qualifications:
- Experience in Requirements Collection, Documentation, Solution Architecture, Design, Development and Deployment
- Extensive Experience with Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC) preferred
- Experience in Metadata Management and Business Process Management workflows highly beneficial
- Extensive Experience with MDM / RDM Tools
- Working knowledge of ELT and BI Tools
- Ability to work as a collaborative team
- Working knowledge on building and reporting to data governance team
- Strong analysis and communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff
- Strong DB architectural and Data Warehousing experience across multiple technologies, including SQL-Based databases
- Experience with Data Integration and technologies, methodologies, data modeling and source code controls
- Ability to work with the data warehouse users, IT Business Analysts and all levels of the organization including senior leadership
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication
