Qualifications for the Physical Therapy Assistant position:

• Graduate of a state-approved school of physical therapy assistant accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
• Two years of long term care or rehabilitation center experience preferred.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• CPR certification strongly preferred and encouraged
• Indirect Supervision license preferred

As a PTA you will:

• Assist the Physical Therapist with development and modification of individualized, goal-directed treatment plans, assist with overseeing all aspects of the resident’s care plan implementation.
• Conduct safe and effective resident treatment sessions using the prescribed treatment plan, including resident/family education programs. Communicates resident responses to treatment, changes in care plan needs, and progress toward goals to the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the PT in conducting screening of residents at regular intervals to determine the need for intervention/treatment.
