Hospice Bereavement Coordinator (Part time)

Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, provides compassionate home care, facility based, and inpatient hospice services to our patients and their families. Our home care coverage area spreads throughout several counties in Western Pennsylvania with inpatient locations in Wexford, Cabot, and Beaver. The Good Samaritan Hospice team works together to provide relief through pain control and symptom management, while offering emotional, social and spiritual support for the patient and family. Good Samaritan Hospice, an entity of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, is seeking a part time Bereavement Coordinator to care for and serve our patients. This is a part time position based in our Valencia Office.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in counseling or social work or graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology
• Masters degree in counseling, social work or associated field preferred
• Ability to work in an interfaith setting with different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs and values
• Knowledge of recognized grief theory and practice preferred
• Experience with group grief sessions preferred
• Solid computer skills, including Word and Excel
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal
