Position Summary:   

The Strategic Program Director is a key member of the ClearCaptions team, supporting the organization in execution of business critical and highly strategic programs. The position owns the execution and management of a portfolio of domain strategies, by collaborating with cross-functional work stream owners and reporting progress, updates, challenges, and solutions to leaders.Close partnership with executive leaders and business is essential, as the Strategic Program Director compiles project/program data that influences decisions at the senior level. The position requires advanced writing skills, communication, project & program management, analytical and organization skills, and a passion for leading structured change.The Strategic Program Director manages highly complex initiatives, across organizations, leading both technical and non-technical team members, managing deadlines, risk, and communicating effectively to cross-functional stakeholder teams and leaders. The position requires innovative thinking balanced with an operational focus to implement efficiencies and programs at scaleThe position is empowered to deliver change and keenly aware of how and when to utilize executive steering support. 

 

This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Chief Information Technology Officer(CITO).  

 

 

What you will do:  

  • Identify, develop and implement long-term domain strategies that drive organizational growth and operational improvements. Work with executive leadership to shape the direction of strategic programs and ensure they are aligned with broader business objectives.
  • Engage with various departments—including finance, marketing, operations, technology and sales—to ensure strategic alignment. Build consensus amongst stakeholders to drive a unified approach to program execution.
  • Define and manage the strategy, planning, and execution of multiple high-impact programs simultaneously. Define program goals, set timelines, and establish measurable outcomes that align with strategic priorities.
  • Take full ownership of program success by ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Hold teams accountable to timelines and goals, even without direct authority, by fostering collaboration and transparency.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization, using influence and negotiation skills to drive alignment and cooperation. Navigate complex organizational dynamics to ensure that all teams are moving in the same strategic direction.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Provide regular updates on program progress, performance metrics, and outcomes to senior leadership, team leads, and relevant departments.
  • Establish and manage KPIs to track the performance and impact of programs. Use data-driven insights to provide feedback to teams and executive leadership, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor project and program budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively. Identify and mitigate financial and resource risks, ensuring the responsible use of organizational resources.Accountable for developing budget in partnership with CITO 
  • Anticipate potential obstacles and develop mitigation strategies to address risks that could impact program success. Proactively communicate risks and opportunities to senior management.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and recommending innovative approaches to streamline operations. Leverage best practices in program management to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Act as a change agent within the organization, fostering a culture of agility, innovation, and forward-thinking. Support the adoption of new technologies, processes, and systems that align with strategic goals.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members involved in program execution, helping them grow their skills and understanding of strategic program management.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Project Management, or a related field is required. An MBA or Masters Degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10- 12 years of experience in strategic program or project management, with a strong focus on leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex initiatives. Previous experience in a role that required influence without direct authority is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proven track record of influencing organizational leaders and building consensus in a collaborative, non-hierarchical environment.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in understanding of program management methodologies and tools (such as Agile, Lean, and Waterfall). Experience with portfolio management and delivering multiple projects simultaneously is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing budgets for large-scale programs, with strong financial reporting and forecasting skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make evidence-based decisions to guide programs forward.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex strategies and program details to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve conflicts and align diverse viewpoints towards a shared vision.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification is a plus. CSM certification is also a plus
  • Ability to inspire and lead teams without formal authority. Skilled in building consensus and ensuring organizational alignment toward strategic objectives.
  • Ability to develop long-term strategies that support overall business goals and drive market growth.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and take corrective actions to ensure successful program outcomes.
  • Proven track record of delivering results through strong program execution and efficient resource management.

Compensation
