Position Summary:

 

The Inside Sales (IS) Training and Development Manager collaborates in partnership with Inside Sales leadership in shaping the learning initiatives for the Inside Sales Department. This position plays a key role in the planning and managing Inside Sales learning & development requirements and creation and delivery of learning programs for the employees of ClearCaptions Inside Sales Department.  

 

This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Director of Inside Sales

 

What you will do:

  • Identify learning and developmental needs in accordance with the organization’s strategic and operational plans. 
  • Propose learning and development programs, drive training initiatives, identify and arrange suitable training solutions. 
  • Assist in the development and effective communication of a learning strategy for the department. 
  • Create learning resources and training plans for new and existing employees that ensure successful sales performance.  
  • Develop course content in collaboration with leadership and subject matter experts. 
  • Evaluate existing learning programs and modify them to suit the needs of the business. 
  • Contribute to the identification and design of tools to automate and streamline processes within training. 
  • Facilitate training sessions/classes for new employees and tenured employees working closely with Supervisors and  Managers.
  • Partner with IS leadership and Management to identify training needs to establish and influence sales reps.  
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of delivered training programs.  
  • Take an active talent management approach to onboard, mentor and inspire a diverse, highly engaged, and skilled team.  Continually upgrade talent through timely talent management, development, succession planning and recruitment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in training and development management.  
  • Must have experience in Adult Learning and track record of facilitating remotely. 
  • Minimum two-years technical support experience in a call center, inside sales environment or proven technical ability
  • High School diploma or equivalent; continuing education or bachelor’s degree in adult learning
  • CPTM (Certified Professional in Training Management), ASTD or other learning and development certifications preferred but not required.
  • Experience in developing and implementing corporate experiential learning and development programs.  
  • Background in creating programs such as leadership development, mentoring etc. 
  • Experience working in a mid-size organization where you led the function from a leadership perspective and performed some of the work whether it was facilitating the training or create training is strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Learning Management Systems and e-learning development software and platforms. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment with multiple competing deadlines. 
  • Ability to identify training needs and assessment. 
  • Capacity to listen to, consult with, advise, and provide consultative solutions while collaborating with stakeholders and leadership. 
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Capacity planning experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce CRM, Ring Central, In Contact and modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams, Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
  • Respectful and outstanding leadership skills that motivate colleagues to focus their energy on achieving business goals.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and tactical operational levels. Works to achieve goals while overcoming obstacles and/or planning for contingencies.
  • Strong analytical, planning and budgeting skills.  Ability to influence others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (up to 5%); will include some overnight

Travel.

  • Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams)

 

Physical Demands:

Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:   

  • Sitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)    
  • Keyboarding (70-90%)    
  • Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone requiring close vision (70-90%)  

 

Work Environment:

Remote with Travel:  Work environment is primarily indoors at home, customer or vendor site, or other business meeting venue; exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions during travel, and exposure to hazardous driving and traffic conditions. Travel (approx. 5%), may include overnight and out of state travel.   

 

Compensation
