SUMMARY:

The City of Lawrence, KS, is seeking to fill the position of the Helpdesk Technician.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This technician position is responsible for the technical support of PC and mobile devices, as well as their peripherals for all City departments, focusing on field support. This includes the setup, management, and coordination of city issued mobile devices, equipment, and software assets for office and field staff. This position will manage helpdesk tickets and coordinate with staff to troubleshoot their technical needs in providing excellent customer service. Will maintain and report on hardware and software asset inventories and perform a variety of technical related duties involved with data reporting related to the functions of information workflow management, work order management processes, technical training, and information modeling. May be required to serve on-call. This position will have limited remote capabilities.

      

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade required. Associate degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related field is preferred. At least two years of increasingly responsible experience in relevant areas. Must have a valid driver’s license. The successful candidate must pass a background check, post-offer City physical and drug screen.
