Drafter Quotes Consultant
Reporting directly to Quotes Manager within the Sales department, The Drafter Quotes Consultant is for supporting all day-to-day linear quotations and shop drawing requests for our ESSENCE and other configurable systems within our portfolio. This includes handing & preparing detailed bills of materials, pricing negotiation & preparing detailed shop drawings that outline placement, specifications, mounting and wiring details, based on requests and provided details/BOM’s and design intent.
Responsibilities:
- Create blocks for future shop drawing creation and ease of future use and formatting.
- Prepare detailed quotations with accurate pricing and inclusive of all related material based on customer supplied information. (Includes Cad drawings, sketches, lay-out forms)
- Prepare detailed shop drawings based on project needs/timelines.
- Callout special instructions or requirements where needed.
- Ensure shop drawings are clear, concise and legible. Leave no room for error or misinterpretation.
- Analyze custom requests for feasibility and work with internal/external resources to determine costs and sourcing requirements.
- Work to maintain company objectives in gross margin while maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Maintain strong sales relationships and build brand loyalty as an extension of Sales.
- Attend work regularly as scheduled
- Answering customer phone calls and customer emails.
- Handling escalated issues / Finding alternative solutions.
- Verifying the bills of material / working with the Engineering team.
- Assist team with decision making on escalated issues.
- Follow up and provide feedback to the customer.
- Provide coverage when team member is not present.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ full-time related experience in drafting and creatine line drawings.
- College Degree Preferred, Business or Design related field, from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education.
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Must exhibit proficient computer skills, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Must exhibit proficient skills in CAD, Pro/E, 2DAutoCAD or 3D Solidworks.
- JDE experience a plus.
- Experience in Quotations, Inside Sales or related field with direct customer interaction is a plus.
- Comfort level with design ideas and strong interpretive skills and applied math
- Strong math skills, including understanding of gross margin, cost of goods sold
- Ability to interpret client needs based on request and translating to acceptable and tangible BOM’s/Quotations.
- Provide customers with detailed drawings to include fully dimensioned drawings, bill of materials and special notes & instructions where needed.
- Record and track status of the projects, maintain organized filing system of CAD drawings and project data.
- Strong knowledge of the principles, practices, and objectives of delivering outstanding customer service and ability to work in fast paced environment with impeccable follow up skills.
- Strong sales mentality, with a focus on growing revenue but maintaining the balance with company profitability objectives.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere, promoting positive work relationships within both internal and external departments.
- Capacity to utilize effective time management skills and be able to work under the stress of multiple deadlines, requests from other departments, and interruptions with accuracy.
- Capacity to be self-motivated and achieve goals with minimal supervision or direction.
- Great verbal and written communication skills and work ethics.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Must demonstrate maturity in judgement, commitment, dependability, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule as determined by manager.
- Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

Compensation: Range starts at $65,000
