The Project Designer plays a pivotal role in driving the sales of our Systems offering, with a specific emphasis on lighting solutions, lighting controls, and automated shading. This role is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting our unique value proposition. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and design and has a proven track record in sales.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients, emphasizing the benefits of our lighting, lighting controls, and automated shading solutions.
  • Understand clients' objectives, effectively communicating how our Systems offering can enhance the overall design of their home.
  • Work with the project management team to ensure client expectations and deliverables are achieved based on original communications/designs.

 

Product Knowledge:

  • Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements in lighting technology, lighting controls, and automated shading.
  • Possess a deep understanding of our schematic design software

 

Sales Presentations:

  • Conduct persuasive and impactful sales presentations to potential clients, showcasing the unique advantages of our lighting, lighting controls, and automated shading solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to tailor presentations based on client lighting and shading needs and specifications.
  • Leverage our collaborative design lead sales approach utilizing SCOPE software to get a commitment from the client.

 

 

Quoting and Proposal Generation:

  • Prepare accurate schematic/conceptual proposals for clients utilizing SCOPE software.
  • Work closely with clients to address inquiries and concerns, ensuring a clear understanding of the proposed lighting and shading solutions.
  • Prepare and provide documentation for both the design team and engineering team to build/create construction documents and BOMs for purchasing (Lighting, Shading, and Controls)
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Design
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in luxury residential design markets.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate complex concepts in easily approachable and
  • understandable ways.
  • Tech-savvy, able to quickly pick up the use of new apps and software.
  • Team-oriented to collaborate effectively with peers. Mission-oriented, willing to jump in and take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to get the job done.
  • Flexibility to work longer and non-traditional hours when needed, sometimes during the evening and on Saturdays.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to grasp complex lighting and shading concepts.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.

Compensation: $80,000 plus monthly bonus opportunity
