Inventory Control & Fulfillment Lead
The Fulfillment Lead is chiefly responsible for driving increased quality, productivity, and safety in the workplace through training, inspection, approval, and reporting on daily activities. The Fulfillment Lead is a subject matter expert (SME) in their area, well respected and able to interpret and communicate policies, procedures, requirements and work direction to team, peers, and management. This is a trusted and highly visible role with responsibility and accountability for company assets, resources, and customer expectations. Responsible for ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), individual performance, safety, and goals are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish all tasks assigned or requested by immediate manager and/or other members of management
- Aids in developing processes to train and motivate team members and temps for increased effectiveness
- Be mindful of and enforce all Visual Comfort policies, with special attention to safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards
- Champions safety and best practices daily
- Coordinate daily staff scheduling and planning
- Coordinate work assignments, monitor performance and provide training on relevant job duties
- Ensure all team members are using proper lifting techniques
- Ensures the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse to meet OSHA and company standards
- Evaluate and assign daily workload
- Frequently check the daily progress of assigned areas
- Gives feedback to team member and temps based on performance, accuracy, and safety
- Increase SLA to 24 hours for 90% or more of all orders
- Keep aged orders to 96 hours or under
- Maintain equipment through determined maintenance schedule
- Makes recommendations to Manager and Industrial Engineer on programs to improve warehouse operations
- Monitor and approve team member work quality and quantity
- Other job duties when applicable
- Perform daily work tasks as required to meet the deliverables of the department
- Promote a friendly, high performing and relationship-based environment
- Provide a clean safe working environment for all team members and visitors
- Provide daily and frequent oversight of workplace activities
- Provide effective feedback to encourage and improve team member work as required

- Train team members and temps in the various roles
- Train, motivate, monitor, and evaluate inspectors and unloaders
- Understand all roles and responsibilities of team members that work in Department
- Understand and follow all policies and procedures set by the company
- Validate procedures and processes are being followed
- Validate that the team members and temps have the proper tools to complete their assigned tasks
- Work closely with Inventory Control and Expediting teams on aged orders

- High School Diploma or GED is required

- Intermediate PC skills including MS Office products – Excel and Outlook
- Meticulous attention to detail; commitment to producing quality product
- Minimum 2+ years of full-time experience in a manufacturing/warehouse/distribution center.
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which supplies the required knowledge, skills and abilities are accepted
- Must always be observant and initiative-taking when it comes to issues related to workplace safety.
- Must have forklift and pallet rider experience
- Must have previous warehouse distribution experience in a high-volume, fast passed environment
- Previous Team Lead experience (2-3 years preferred)
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office
- English needed, Spanish fluency a plus
- Thrives in a demanding environment
- Working knowledge of warehouse / mechanical equipment.
- Works well in a team environment

Compensation range is $23.00-$24.00
