Industrial Cleaner

The Facility Maintenance I (Industrial Cleaner) is responsible for performing custodial duties to maintain the professional appearance of the building, offices and common areas. This includes general cleaning (restroom, offices, cafeteria, other areas assigned).

Responsibilities:

• Perform various custodial duties, to include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, break rooms, mops, buffs and vacuums floors, clean windows, empties trash, and recycle
• Restock soap, toilet paper, paper towels and any other regularly used bathroom supplies
• Empty garbage and remove boxes from the Production Department, Parts and Shipping department
• Understands and adhere to safety procedures, demonstrate the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits
• Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule as determined by manager
• Support and exhibit the GB values
• Participates in twice daily ergo exercises
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements:

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 1 year of full-time related experience working maintenance in a manufacturing environment. Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted
• Basic knowledge of custodial duties and janitorial responsibilities
• Ability to use of cleaning equipment including vacuum, sweeper, mop, scrubber
• Knowledge of the qualities and uses of various cleaning and sanitizing products
• Ability to follow directions and communicate in English verbally and in writing and to read and understand materials printed in English
• Capacity to be self-motivated and achieve goals with minimal supervision or direction
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere, promoting positive work relationships with both internal and external guests
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work on your feet and walking up to 8 hours a day

Hours:

• Monday through Friday, full-time with work hours designated by the Supervisor
• Team Members are required to work overtime when requested
