In this role you will:

The Peer Support Leader is responsible for serving as models within the program. The Peer Support Leader will work with the Clinical Coordinator and Referral Navigator in conducting outreach efforts; attend community fairs and events as need. The Peer Support Leader will mentor other peers and assist in providing services to individuals.

Essential Functions:

• Will collaborate with program leadership in planning, developing, and execution of project- based youth development programs/ events.
• Develop and maintain positive and professional relationship with participants.
• Support participants in social aspects; create and anchor a culture of care with fellow participants.
•  Empathizing with participants; sharing positive coping strategies; mentoring peers to provide services.
• Creating/Distributing flyers and outreach materials.
• Attend Community Meetings as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse social, economic, and cultural groups.

• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.
• Be between the ages of 17-24 years old (to be a peer to the participants)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday and weekends, as needed, up to 10 hours weekly

Pay: $20 hr
