We’re seeking a Technical Inside Sales Rep to join our fast-paced Sales team in Naples, FL.

  1. JOB SUMMARY:

The Technical Inside Sales Representative serves as a solutions specialist, leading the interpretation of customer requirements and understanding the technical aspects of CWI products and services. This role is crucial in providing technical support and guidance to both the sales team and customers, helping to find solutions to customer problems. The representative is responsible for generating leads, advancing the sales process, closing new business, and achieving corporate sales targets. This involves developing new prospects and interacting with existing customers to increase sales of the organization's products and services. The representative analyzes customer specifications, recommends product configurations, advises on pricing estimates, and ensures the accuracy and quality of sales proposals.

In addition to technical sales duties, this role coordinates with outside sales team members to meet goals, provides customer support over the phone, and occasionally conducts field visits. The representative also supervises customer service functions to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

 

  1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    1. Technical Support and Interpretation: Act as primary technical resource for interpreting customer requirements and providing explanations of how products work and in various applications.
    2. Sales Inquiries: Resource for incoming sales inquiries, responding promptly and professionally to customer requests and inquiries, helping to find solutions to customer problems.
    3. Sales Process Management: Identify and make outbound contact with existing and potential customers to uncover sales opportunities.
    4. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to gather and disseminate product information, technical specifications, and pricing details.
    5. Sales Proposals and Documentation: Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, quotations, and other sales-related documentation, ensuring they provide solutions to customer needs.
    6. Lead Qualification: Qualify leads and opportunities, and route them to the appropriate Product Line Manager for further development and closure.
    7. Customer Support: Respond to technical inquiries, provide updates on the status of customer submissions, and set follow-up appointments to keep customers informed of project developments.
    8. Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s product and service portfolio.
    9. Account Management: Serve as the main point of contact for designated accounts, maintaining relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
    10. Trade Shows and Marketing Events: Participate in trade shows, webinars, and other marketing events to generate leads and promote products and services.

 

 

  1. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline information in the company's CRM system.
    2. Quality Compliance: Understand quality functions related to testing, product tolerances, documentation, certifications, and adhere to all aspects of company Quality Management System.
    3. Travel: Attend select trade shows, company facilities, and customer meetings.
    4. Miscellaneous: Other duties as assigned.

 

  1. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  1. Strong verbal and written communication.
  2. Efficient with Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) PowerBI a plus.
  3. Ability to conduct product presentations.
  4. Data analytics.
  5. Negotiation.

 

  1. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Sales, Marketing) or equivalent work experience.

2+ years of experience in an inside sales or technical sales support role.
