By joining the team as a Regional Vice President, you will be an active and visible member of Central’s Officer team and will be responsible for developing and driving innovative sales strategies aimed at profitable growth and support of the organization’s commitment to our distribution partners.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and implement data-driven distribution strategies and tactics that support profitable growth within the existing agency network and across new agency appointments and/or new product opportunities. Drive effective collaboration between Finance, Underwriting, and Marketing on targeted agency communications, agency experiences, and the identification of future sales opportunities.
  • Lead the annual premium planning process for the region and develop the premium forecast in collaboration with Finance, Underwriting, and Marketing. Monitor and communicate progress to plan and support the regional sales team meeting or exceeding annual growth and profitability goals.
  • Strategically manage Central’s regional agency network and hold them accountable for agreed growth goals. Identify, appoint and grow new agency partners that value Central and have expertise in Central’s identified attractive markets.
  • Develop and monitor the Distribution regional budget; establish budgetary guidelines and ensure budget adherence.
  • Attract, select, develop and retain a talented sales team with demonstrated underwriting ability. Provide them with the authority, accountability, training, and resources to achieve their full potential.
  • Conduct routine and thoughtful analyses to assess market, industry, and financial trends relevant to regional agency network and profitable growth opportunities. Leverage insights to drive creative and proactive strategies to outpace our competitors, incorporating related laws and regulations.

What You’ll Bring

  • P&C sales experience in both personal and commercial lines carriers, with managerial experience required; Experience in commercial lines underwriting preferred
  • Strong independent agent distribution channel experience
  • Expertise in developing and executing strategy related to agency appointments, agent incentives and growth, as well as innovation and transformation initiatives related to agent experience
  • Strong financial, business, and analytics acumen, including experience in forecasting and budgeting for a sales organization
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; CPCU and/or advanced degree preferred but not required
