Role Overview:
Provider Enrollment Specialist is a vital team member with Centauri’s Out of State Medicaid billing agency that works with facilities across the US to process their Out of State Medicaid claims with a focus on hospital billing, hospital and physician enrollment, and eligibility verifications. All team members are assigned tasks and are responsible for ensuring tasks are completed by the assigned follow up date. The position focuses on Web Portal Registration and is eligible for remote work.
Role Responsibilities:
- Complete Training Plan
- Employees must complete a training plan to master role responsibilities
- Accounts are audited until training plan is completed in phases
- Utilize internal user procedures
- Knowledge of Out of State Medicaid payer guidelines
- Manage all incoming requests from staff for web portal access with any Out of State Medicaid agency
- Investigate web portal registration; this includes the type of access available and the set up process
- Complete web portal registration requests; preparing documents and/or online requests
- Maintain instructions/notes for assigned Out of State Medicaid payers as it relates to web portal registration
- Reset previously set up accounts
- Internal and external point of contact for any web portal related questions/assistance; team members, clients, and payers
- Review various forms of correspondence from clients and payers
- Open communication and collaboration with the enrollment team
Role Requirements:
- One year of administrative or customer service experience
- Experience in medical billing is suggested but not required
- Utilize internal user procedures to prepare requests based on client and payer specific instructions
- Knowledge of Out of State Medicaid payer guidelines
- Technically savvy; navigating through different websites with little to no direction needed
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- 1 year + including Microsoft Office knowledge, drafting letters/formal email requests, preparing documents, and phone customer service
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and navigate multiple platforms
- Ability to learn quickly, prioritize and manage time
- Can work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
