Job Summary:

 

The Premium Assist & Best Benefits Product Manager will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate market and business problems into detailed operational and technical requirements that enable operations and technology teams to make enhancements to the Premium Assist and Best Benefits products and build new products. This position will report to the SVP, Product Management and oversee product management functions for Premium Assist and Best Benefits.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

    • Product/Market Opportunities
      • Work with customers and prospects to understand business needs, gather requirements, get feedback on product direction and concepts, gain understanding of customer experience with existing products to identify gaps and opportunities for enhancements and new offerings.
      • Align potential new opportunities with enterprise product portfolio strategy for Premium Assist and Best Benefits.
      • Proactively assess opportunities to expand product offerings, determine which opportunities do and do not make sense to pursue based on a business case.
      • Partner with customers for Solution Discovery to ensure that market problems are being solved in a simple, usable way.
      • Determine high level approach to build and operate new products, complete feasibility assessment before contracting with customers.
    • Packaging
      • Bundle Premium Assist & Best Benefits with other complimentary solutions to solve a greater breadth of problems, increase competitive differentiation, and increase customer stickiness.
    • Product Roadmap, Product Requirements
      • Create and maintain product roadmaps for Premium Assist and Best Benefits.
      • Plan what we will do next, why it’s valuable (supported by analysis), define detailed requirements so Technology and Operations can engage to build and support.
      • Define and translate market and business needs/requests into detailed, implementable requirements for Technology and Operations.
      • Facilitate planning and communication between Sales, Technology, Operations, and other business stakeholders
      • Collaborate with Technology and Operations to plan, monitor and report on product delivery schedules.
    • Competitive Intelligence
      • Research competitive alternatives, create content on differentiation, document how to compete and win against each (Battle Cards), update product roadmap to address competitive gaps.
    • Messaging and Positioning
      • Create Messaging and Positioning documents to serve as foundation for downstream content and marketing deliverables.
      • Fine tune the value proposition – create crisp messaging for customer/prospect communications.
      • Differentiate Premium Assist and Best Benefits from competitive alternatives.
    • General
      • Coordinate roll-out of new products and enhancements with Sales and Marketing teams.
      • Perform all job functions consistent with Centauri policies and procedures, including those which govern handling PHI and PII.
      • Manage other duties as assigned.

 

Required Knowledge:

 

  • Knowledge of best practice product management methodologies (preferably Agile).  
  • Proficient knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
  • Well versed in healthcare eligibility and benefits and subsidies via Medicare and Medicaid
  • Knowledge of the Pragmatic Framework and/or Scaled Agile Framework preferred.

Required Experience:

 

  • Proven success challenging the status quo, driving operational and cultural change.
  • Experience communicating product plans to customers and managing their expectations.
  • 5+ years experience as a product manager and/or product marketing manager for healthcare service offerings (BPaaS, BPO, or similar).

  • Experience as a product manager and/or product marketing manager for healthcare SaaS products.
  • 5+ years eligibility and benefits experience at a health plan or equivalent.
  • 5+ years Medicare and Medicaid product experience at a health plan or equivalent.

 

Required Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or science.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner), Pragmatic Marketing, or SAFe certification desired.

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is bonus eligible in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan.
