Healthcare IT Product Delivery Manager
Role Summary:
The Product Delivery Manager within Centauri’s technology team drives the delivery of technical products to Centauri customers, internal and external, and does so within an agile delivery framework. The Product Delivery Manager acts as a primary interface between the Product Development and Technology organizations to translate product strategy into technical action.
The Product Delivery Manager will be tactically responsible for backlog prioritization, process definition, agile coaching, re-enforcement and evangelism, as well as daily scrum management for designated product teams. As part of the Information Technology organization, this role will lead regular standups, drive collaboration on different elements of discussion of releases, features, and inter dependencies. The Product Delivery Manager will have a software development or software project management background, hands-on Agile/Iterative development experience and a detail-oriented style to managing scrum teams.
Role Responsibilities:
- Daily execution of an effective SCRUM-based agile methodology for Centauri product areas (HEDIS/Quality, Risk Adjustment, Submissions, and/or Eligibility Services) that meets the diverse needs of Centauri customers and internal stakeholders and is based upon a Disciplined Agile Framework.
- Coordinate organizational change management aspects of agile introduction and play a prominent role in influencing the acceptance and practice of scrum/agile process
- Serve as a Scrum Master / Agile Coach for multiple teams within the technology area
- Drive, with the Technology Delivery Owner, Architecture Owner, and Product Owner, release planning and sprint planning.
- Run standup/scrum meetings for delivery team.
- Maintain and refine JIRA or TFS workflows to support scrum/agile development process
- Develop, produce, and monitor team performance reports (velocity, estimates vs actual)
- Issue/task tracking, enforcement of Jira or TFS processes (time recording, task breakdowns)
- Assisting in prioritizing work.
- Progress tracking for active releases (done vs remaining, projected completion dates)
- Work with Delivery Owners to incorporate agile processes into other Delivery teams
- Manage training newcomers on Centauri’s methodology.
- Initiate, co-ordinate, and champion Sprint rhythms - Planning, Review, Backlog grooming, Retrospective sessions.
- Track and report daily schedules. Use metrics to manage and communicate scrum team activities to stakeholders.
- Track status across projects and communicate any risks or concerns to stakeholders.
- Work with Product Managers to develop User story details including acceptance criteria, mockups, and test input as necessary.
- Work on release planning, capacity and resource planning & using agile tools
- Help the team self-organize and adopt an attitude of continuous improvement. Look for ways to implement process improvements.
- Actively identify and remove impediments to ensure that assigned sprints and projects are completed on time.
- Be the primary coordinator for the cross-team new product release process.
- Help review Release notes, User Guides, Training material. May also help with functional and regression testing as needed.
- Serve as a champion of the product and customer to the scrum team, communicate bigger picture business objectives and how it relates to projects.
- Perform all job functions consistent with Centauri policies and procedures, including those which govern handling PHI and PII.
- Understands and agrees to role-specific information security access and responsibilities
- Ensures safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to the organizations information security policies
- Reads, understands and agrees to security policies and complete all annual security and compliance training
- Manage other duties as assigned.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-10 plus years’ experience in the software development or program management domain,
- Experience with Agile and Scrum Teams working as Product Owner or Scrum Master
- Strong healthcare background, preferably in the payor space related to Risk Adjustment.
- Understanding and experience of CMS regulatory components.
- Strong experience with Jira or TFS
- Proven track record organizing and managing complex technology programs, with preference given to doing so in the health care environment
- Knowledge and support of Agile methodologies and proven track record of running agile teams in a professional service setting
- Proficient knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and TFS preferred
- Ability to prioritize and execute in a high performing engineering environment
- Experience with Jira or TFS
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- SPC, CSPO, CSM or immediate plans to become certified a plus
