Admissions Guest Services - Events Coordinator

Cedarville University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to join our Admissions team. The Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing large prospective student campus events such as CU Fridays, All-Access days, and Academic Preview days. This is a full-time (2080 annual hours) exempt position that reports to the Associate Director fo Admissions, Guest Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
- Plan and execute large-scale admissions events that showcase the university and its programs to prospective students and families, including event logistics, scheduling, marketing, and promotion.
- Collaborate with other departments and campus partners to ensure the success of events, including Admissions staff, faculty, student organizations, and external vendors.
- Create and maintain event budgets, manage event registration, and track event attendance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to prospective students, families, and guests before, during and after events.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date event information on the University’s website and other marketing materials.
- Assist with other Admissions initiatives and projects as needed.
- Assist the Associate Director with other projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree, preferably from Cedarville University, in communications, public relations, marketing or related field
- Event planning experience preferred, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple project simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking and writing.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people and build relationships with internal and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs and experience with event management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
