Staff: Physical Plant - HVAC Technician
Cedarville University is seeking to hire an HVAC Technician. Duties include preventive maintenance and repair of a wide range of heating, ventilation, cooling and refrigeration equipment. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Facility Maintenance.
Position Requirements:
Qualified applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED. Three years of previous HVAC related experience preferred but we are willing to train as needed.
Experience with tools and equipment common in the industry and a valid Ohio driver’s license are required.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift or carry objects up to 100 pounds on occasion with routine lifting of up to 50 pounds; the ability to operate drills, saws and other power tools; and the ability to bend, climb and crawl into small spaces. This position is routinely exposed to heat, cold, moisture, noise and light chemical substances related to duties. This position serves on an on-call rotation for emergency services.
